TITUSVILLE, Fla. – An undercover police operation targeting prostitution in Titusville resulted in two arrests and the seizure of over eight grams of fentanyl, according to the Titusville Police Department.
The incident unfolded around 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, near the 700 block of Deleon Avenue. Authorities say the investigation began when James Saunders, 36, solicited sex from a male undercover officer.
Shortly after, Saunders reportedly purchased fentanyl from Calease Jordan, 53, in front of the detective. Officers immediately intervened, arresting both individuals.
During Jordan’s arrest, detectives recovered 8.6 grams of fentanyl—an amount qualifying for trafficking under Florida law.
Both suspects face multiple charges:
James Saunders: Solicitation of Prostitution and Sale of a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl); bond set at $25,500.
Calease Jordan: Trafficking Fentanyl (4 grams or more); bond set at $150,000.
They were booked into the Brevard County Detention Center.
“This case highlights the critical importance of our Special Investigations Section,” said Major Jeremy Gonzalez. “Fentanyl is one of the deadliest drugs plaguing our community, and we prioritize drug-related crime to keep the public safe.”
