LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (October 2, 2025) — The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has arrested 39-year-old James Lamarr McTillman of Ashburn following a weeks-long investigation into cocaine distribution, seizing large quantities of drugs, firearms, and other illegal items.
The LCSO’s Drug and Gang Unit began investigating McTillman after reports he was distributing both powder and crack cocaine. On September 19, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and two residential search warrants. McTillman was taken into custody that day, found with approximately 1.5 ounces of powder cocaine, and transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. He is being held without bond on one count of distribution of a controlled substance, with additional charges pending.
Following the arrest, the LCSO Tactical Support Unit executed search warrants at two Ashburn locations, seizing:
5.73 kg of crack cocaine
0.18 kg of cocaine
18.35 lbs of marijuana
1 lb of psilocybin mushrooms
Approximately 150 suspected fentanyl pills
10–15 oz of liquid PCP
$4,418 in cash
Three firearms, ammunition, and a silencer
Materials consistent with a robbery kit, including flex cuffs, bear spray, taser, and a manipulated security badge
Surveillance devices, including GPS trackers and RF detectors
Evidence of a marijuana growing operation
Equipment used in manufacturing crack cocaine
Sheriff Mike Chapman said, “The scope of this seizure underscores the serious threat posed by regional and national drug distribution networks. We will stop at nothing to dismantle any drug trafficking operation in Loudoun County.”
The investigation remains active, with detectives coordinating with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney and federal partners.
