James Hardesty Arrested in Pike County Drug Raid

Police seize drugs, cash, and firearms during 12-hour search

HARDY, Ky. — A Pike County man is behind bars after a lengthy police search uncovered a significant drug operation in his home.

Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at the residence of 35-year-old James Hardesty in Hardy just before noon on Thursday. Over the course of the next 12 hours, investigators discovered a substantial quantity of illegal substances, including fentanyl, various pills, unidentified hallucinogenic drugs, and over five pounds of marijuana.

Authorities also confiscated several firearms and a large sum of cash believed to be linked to drug sales.

Hardesty was arrested shortly before midnight and is facing four counts of drug trafficking. He is currently being held without bond at the Pike County Detention Center.
