WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. — A former airport employee was arrested at Bradley International Airport early Monday morning on an outstanding warrant for identity theft, authorities said Thursday.

James Cade, 42, was taken into custody after state troopers responded to an alarm at the airport around 4:17 a.m. Troopers determined that Cade had an active arrest warrant from New Britain Police stemming from 2023.

Cade was charged with third-degree identity theft and forgery. New Britain Police arrived about 30 minutes later and took him into their custody.

Airport spokesperson Brian Spyros confirmed that Cade had previously worked for the Huntleigh Corporation in the airport’s wheelchair operation but was no longer employed there. Spyros added that there was no risk to public safety during the incident.
