James Burton Arrested for Multiple Auto Burglaries in Madisonville

Burton faces theft, burglary, and impersonation charges after recent spree

MADISONVILLE, Tenn. — James Burton was arrested on August 18 following a series of auto burglaries and thefts that occurred in Madisonville starting August 14. The Madisonville Police Department (MPD) identified and located Burton through surveillance footage, tips from citizens, and cooperation from local businesses.

Burton is currently facing multiple charges, including theft of property, seven counts of auto burglary, and criminal impersonation. Additionally, officers discovered that he has active warrants out of Bradley County.

The MPD continues to investigate and encourages anyone with further information about these incidents to come forward.
