GLASGOW — On September 21, Glasgow police arrested 47-year-old James Birge in the parking lot of the Save-A-Lot grocery store following a complaint about a suspicious individual.
Officers found Birge crouched behind a support post outside the store. When questioned, Birge admitted to using methamphetamine “a couple of days ago.” A search revealed half a gram of methamphetamine and a glass pipe inside a small tin box in his possession.
Birge was taken into custody without incident and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree possession of methamphetamine, a first offense. His court date is scheduled for September 25.
