BALTIMORE (WBFF) — A 38-year-old man, identified as James Barrett of Baltimore, has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in West Baltimore in early August.

Barrett was apprehended by Warrant Apprehension detectives on August 29 in the 3100 block of Stafford Street, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The arrest stems from a shooting incident on August 8, when a 26-year-old man was shot in the 1800 block of Edmondson Avenue. The victim sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and later arrived at a local hospital for treatment, prompting a police investigation.

Following the investigation, Barrett was located and taken into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The investigation remains ongoing.
