James Austin Monahan Charged in Archdale Bar Shooting

Victim in critical condition after FireHouse TapRoom shooting

ARCHDALE, N.C. — A man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting that occurred late Friday night in the parking lot of the FireHouse TapRoom in Archdale, according to police.

Authorities say the incident happened around 11:32 p.m. on North Main Street, where officers responded to reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Chad Ryan Senters, 31, of Archdale, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Moses Cone Hospital and remains in critical condition.

According to witness reports, a gray SUV was seen fleeing the scene shortly after the shots were fired. Several nearby vehicles were also struck by bullets, though no additional injuries were reported.

Police later arrested James Austin Monahan, 26, of Greensboro. He is facing charges of:

Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury

Attempted murder

Monahan is currently being held at the Randolph County Jail without bond.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
