Based on a tip-off, a police team led by Sub-Inspector C. Jingdam, accompanied by Executive Magistrate Bini Shiva and DySP (HQ) Mape Zirdo, was dispatched to the UD Complex area of Longding town on June 3.

At the scene, they intercepted a woman behaving suspiciously. Upon questioning, she identified herself as Jalih Wangsa of Longkai Village, originally from Tissa. A search led to the discovery of two soap cases containing the contraband substance.

A formal case was registered at Longding Police Station (LDG/PS/Case No. 32/2025 U/S 21(b) NDPS Act), and Wangsa has been taken into custody.

The arrest was made under the supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Longding District, as part of the state’s continuing crackdown on narcotics.
