A Lenoir County man, Jalen Jones, 23, is facing drug-related charges following a traffic stop conducted by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Narcotic Unit Detectives.
The traffic stop occurred near Albert Suggs Road on U.S. Hwy 70 West. During the stop, detectives observed illegal items in plain view and proceeded to search the vehicle, according to an official release.
The search uncovered approximately 108 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency. Jones was taken into custody without incident.
He has been charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver marijuana, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jones was booked into the Lenoir County Detention Center and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
