COVINGTON, La. — A Covington-area man with a history of violent and drug-related offenses is back in custody after narcotics detectives discovered illegal drugs and a firearm inside his home.
On the morning of March 27, detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Daisy Street, where they arrested 25-year-old Jalen “Hotboy” Dillworth as part of an ongoing investigation.
Investigators had received information that Dillworth, a convicted felon, was frequently in possession of both illegal narcotics and firearms—despite being legally prohibited from having weapons due to prior felony convictions including aggravated second-degree battery, attempted armed robbery, possession of stolen firearms, and racketeering.
During the search, detectives recovered:
Nearly 8 grams of crack cocaine
Approximately 243 grams of marijuana
Drug paraphernalia
A Glock handgun
Dillworth was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule I (Marijuana)
Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II (Crack Cocaine)
Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Failure to Honor Written Promise to Appear
Also arrested was Anna Duncan, 24, who lived with Dillworth. She faces charges of:
Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II (Crack Cocaine)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Authorities say this arrest is part of a broader effort to combat drug activity in the Covington area. The investigation remains ongoing.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
