by Amelia Crawford

Jake Tomkinson, a 31-year-old man of no fixed abode, has been sentenced to six months in custody following a theft and knife possession conviction.

The incident occurred on January 29, when Tomkinson stole £80 worth of tea and coffee from a Co-op store on McLeod Road. He was later arrested and charged with theft from a shop and possession of a knife in a public place.

Tomkinson denied both charges, but was found guilty by Bromley Magistrates’ Court on March 24.

On April 8, the court handed down a six-month custodial sentence.
