Jaida Braddy Charged in Death of David Hutchinson in Marion

Woman accused as accessory after murder; bond set at $15K

MARION COUNTY, S.C. — A woman has been charged in connection with the death of a man found last week in a trash can on Pearl Street in Marion, authorities said.

Jaida Braddy, 41, faces charges of accessory after the fact of murder in the death of David Hutchinson, a Massachusetts resident who came to Marion in December, according to Marion Police Chief Tony Flowers.

Marion County Coroner Jerry Richardson confirmed that an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death, with results expected Thursday. Police said additional details will be released once the autopsy is complete.

Braddy is being held at the Marion County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
