A family dispute escalated into violence in Rohini, Delhi when Jai Prakash Yadav, disguised in women’s clothing, allegedly attacked his 27-year-old sister-in-law, a physiotherapist, police reported. The attack was reportedly motivated by ongoing familial conflicts.
The incident occurred at a therapy center in Sector-24, Rohini, where Yadav allegedly slit the victim’s throat. Authorities received a distress call at 12:21 pm, and the victim had already been transported to a nearby hospital. She remains under treatment and has not yet been able to provide a statement.
Local witnesses reported seeing a suspicious person fleeing the scene shortly after the attack. Police quickly cordoned off the area, and after a rooftop chase, Yadav was apprehended. A cutter blade believed to have been used in the attack was recovered, along with his disguise. CCTV footage and other evidence are being examined as part of the ongoing investigation, filed under attempted murder charges.
