Two days after Khanna police arrested Jagpal Singh Jogi and his son in a heroin supply case, authorities have seized additional items from Jogi’s possession, including a .12-bore pump-action rifle, eight live cartridges, four empty cartridges, and a fake gun license allegedly prepared in Tarn Taran.
The duo, residents of Daheru village, were initially arrested in a case registered at Sadar Khanna, which dismantled a heroin supply chain. Jogi was identified as a key link to two previously arrested suspects, Randeep Singh and Ashveer, who had been caught with 6 grams of heroin.
Sustained interrogation revealed that Jogi, along with his associate Gurjeet Singh, alias Guri, son of late Harbans Singh of Harbanspura, and two other accomplices, were involved in supplying narcotics. Gurjeet Singh has been arrested, and 5.50 grams of heroin were recovered from him. Police teams have been formed to locate and arrest the remaining two accused, who have now been nominated in the case.
The investigation underscores ongoing efforts by Khanna police to curb drug trafficking and dismantle organized narcotics networks in the region.
