Amreli, Gujarat – The Amreli Taluka police have arrested five individuals for their involvement in a theft at the Krishna Engineering Company’s factory located in Gavadka village. The incident took place between August 29 and 30, during which thieves stole goods worth Rs90,000 from the premises.
Acting on human intelligence and local surveillance, police arrested Jagdish Vaghela, Sahil Solanki, Bhavesh Solanki, Sanjay Parmar, and Sanjay Prajapati. All stolen items were recovered, along with a four-wheeler and other materials used in the crime, bringing the total value of recovered assets to over Rs5.5 lakh.
The company, which manufactures cement-concrete poles for the Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL), reported the break-in shortly after it occurred.
According to police, Raju Parmar and Manoj Solanki—also believed to be involved in the crime—are currently absconding. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest them.
The successful operation highlights swift police action and inter-agency coordination in curbing rural industrial thefts. The arrested individuals are being processed under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is ongoing.
