On Tuesday night, police arrested three drug peddlers near Taladanda canal, close to Sandhapur village under the jurisdiction of Kujang police station in Jagatsinghpur district. The trio was found in possession of 277.34 grams of brown sugar.
The accused were identified as Amar Kumar Swain, Prahalad Parida, and Sangram Lenka, all residents of Sandhapur village. Along with the narcotics, the police seized three mobile phones and Rs 5,000 in cash from the suspects.
The arrested individuals have been produced in court as part of the ongoing investigation.
