D’IBERVILLE, Miss. – A D’Iberville man is facing serious charges after a violent assault left a 67-year-old man unconscious in his driveway.
Jacob Miller, 34, was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic violence on Thursday, according to officials with the D’Iberville Police Department.
The arrest stems from an incident on Wednesday, July 16, when officers responded to Biglin Bayou Drive after receiving reports of an assault. Upon arrival, police found the elderly victim unconscious in the driveway, suffering from what appeared to be severe injuries.
Eyewitnesses at the scene identified Miller as the attacker. He allegedly beat the man before fleeing in a vehicle.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Later, Biloxi Police officers located Miller and turned him over to D’Iberville authorities.
Miller is now being held at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center on a $250,000 bond, set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
At the time of his arrest, Miller was already on probation through the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).
