Jacob Gyles, 45, was arrested and charged with first-degree felony assault and operating on a suspended license. He was also wanted on a felony identity theft warrant issued in Muhlenberg County and cited for multiple traffic violations.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to a disturbance on Lavender Street in Hazel around 2:30 p.m. on June 29. Investigators say Gyles was involved in an altercation and allegedly struck the victim in the head with a golf club.
