Detectives from JSO’s Homicide Unit responded to the scene, where they found 31-year-old Carlos Rivera inside his apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators were able to track down the suspect, 16-year-old Alex Reddice, after a witness provided a detailed description.

Reddice now faces charges of murder and robbery in connection to the death of Rivera. Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information to contact the JSO or Crime Stoppers.

As of the latest reports, Reddice remains in custody at the Duval County Jail. Details regarding his bail and upcoming court appearances have not been released, and further updates are expected from JSO.
