JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A major narcotics operation in Jacksonville resulted in the seizure of large quantities of illegal drugs, firearms, and cash, authorities said.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) reported that weeks of surveillance led investigators to a residence on Paris Avenue in the Royal Terrace neighborhood. Using gathered evidence, narcotics detectives obtained a search warrant, executed with assistance from the SWAT team.

Inside the home, officers discovered:

14.2 grams of fentanyl — enough to potentially kill more than 7,000 people

645.2 grams of powder cocaine

153.1 grams of crack cocaine

Nearly 30 pounds of marijuana and 284.4 grams of marijuana wax

Three handguns and one assault rifle

$6,128 in cash

Two convicted felons, Devin Luster, 34, and Curtis Smith, 44, were arrested at the scene and now face additional felony charges.

JSO emphasized the extreme danger of fentanyl and urged residents to report any suspicious drug activity by calling 904-630-0500.
