Adiel Marquez Gonzalez, 20, has been arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) homicide unit for the tragic death of his mother, Dulce Maria Martinez Guash. The arrest comes after a domestic dispute on Thursday at an apartment complex on the Arlington Expressway.
JSO patrol officers responded to the scene after receiving a call about the argument. Upon arrival, they discovered Martinez Guash unresponsive inside the apartment, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
After a thorough interview with Gonzalez, homicide detectives arrested him on charges of murder and kidnapping. He is currently being held in Duval County jail.
