NEWBURGH, N.Y. — Two men from the Town of Newburgh were arrested on November 7 following a months-long investigation that led authorities to execute a search warrant at 3 North Hill Lane.

During the search, task force officers seized two firearms and cocaine.

Jack Licausi, 39, was charged with criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance and one count of criminal sale of drugs in or near school grounds. He was remanded to the county jail without bail.

Also arrested was Daniel Kern, 38, who faces two counts of criminal contempt and misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. Kern was released with an appearance ticket pending a future court date.

The search warrant was executed by the Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Group with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office, Newburgh Town Police, Montgomery, Woodbury, City of Port Jervis Police, the District Attorney’s Office, and other investigators from the drug task force.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing as they continue efforts to combat drug activity in the area.
