ALBANY, N.Y. — A Schenectady man has been sentenced to 27.5 years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for his role in a large-scale drug trafficking conspiracy, according to court records.
Jabree Jones, 33, conspired with several others to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine between January and May 2023. Jones was already on federal supervised release at the time, which resulted in an additional two-and-a-half years added to his sentence.
The investigation included the execution of a search warrant at an apartment in Clifton Park, where co-defendant Anthony Zaremski opened fire on police and was fatally shot. Two officers were wounded during the encounter.
Authorities said searches at multiple locations connected to the conspiracy uncovered dozens of firearms and significant quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.
Three other defendants in the case were previously sentenced. Anthony Luizzi received 17.5 years, Brandon Bartley was sentenced to 15 years, and Devon Newsome received five years in prison.
