ALBANY, N.Y. — A Schenectady man has been sentenced to 27.5 years in prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for his involvement in a major drug trafficking conspiracy.
Jabree Jones, 33, conspired with others to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, and meth between January and May 2023. Jones was on federal supervised release at the time, which added 2.5 years to his sentence.
During the investigation, police executed a search warrant at a Clifton Park apartment, where one defendant, Anthony Zaremski, fired on officers and was fatally shot. Two officers were wounded in the incident.
Authorities later recovered dozens of firearms and large quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and meth at other locations connected to the case.
Three additional co-defendants had been previously sentenced: Anthony Luizzi received 17.5 years, Brandon Bartley received 15 years, and Devon Newsome received five years.
