Ivo Miller, a 76-year-old man with no permanent address, remains behind bars after allegedly stabbing a 75-year-old man in the parking lot of Kapa‘a Shopping Center on the morning of April 2, 2025. Miller was arrested without incident on charges of first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree assault. His bail has been set at $100,000, and he is currently detained at the Kaua‘i Police Department cellblock.
The Kaua‘i Police Department responded to the scene around 8:40 a.m. on Wednesday. Officers discovered that the elderly man had been stabbed multiple times during a reported knife attack. He was quickly transported to Wilcox Medical Center in Līhuʻe, where he is in stable condition.
The incident is under ongoing investigation. Authorities have expressed gratitude to the bystanders who intervened and helped the victim during the attack.
