Aberdeen, NC – Two young adults have been arrested in connection with a credit card fraud scheme involving stolen cards and fraudulent transactions in Southern Pines and surrounding areas. Isia Fraser, 20, of Southern Pines, and Simeon Peterkin, 20, of Pinehurst, were taken into custody after Aberdeen Police collaborated with the Southern Pines Police Department to investigate the case.

On October 14, police received a report of a stolen credit card in Southern Pines, which had been used at several businesses, including Walmart. The total amount of the fraudulent charges exceeded $3,000. Aberdeen officers, working alongside Southern Pines police, were able to identify Fraser and Peterkin as the primary suspects.

The two individuals were arrested and presented before a Moore County magistrate. Fraser was given a $500 secured bond, while Peterkin was issued a written promise to appear. Both suspects face charges related to the theft and misuse of the credit card.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to look into potential additional charges and related cases. Aberdeen Police have urged the public to report any suspicious activity to help prevent similar incidents in the future.
