Mokhada, Palghar, Maharashtra: A 22-year-old man, Ishwar Walaya Waje, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his father, Walaya Hadkya Waje (47), with an axe following persistent harassment, police reported.
The incident took place on Sunday, prompting a complaint from Muralidhar Jagannath Mokashi (51), a farmer residing in Chas, Mokhada taluka. The Mokhada police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and began an investigation immediately.
Ishwar was apprehended on Monday, revealing a shocking familial conflict that has left the local community in disbelief and mourning. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident.
