Wichita, KS — A 24-year-old Wichita man, identified as Isaiah Langkiet, was arrested over the weekend after allegedly stabbing a 64-year-old female family member, police confirmed.
The incident took place on Saturday, just before 9 a.m., in the 800 block of S. Fern in Wichita.
According to the Wichita Police Department, the woman suffered serious injuries from the stabbing. Authorities have not released further details on her current condition.
Langkiet was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on multiple charges, including:
Attempted second-degree murder
Two counts of domestic battery
Violation of a protection order
The investigation remains active, and police have not confirmed the motive behind the attack.
