WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem Police Department has arrested Isaiah Jeremiah Campbell, 18, in connection with the June 13, 2025, homicide of Pariss Tucker Baines, authorities confirmed.
Campbell has been charged with felony murder and appeared before a magistrate, where he was denied bond. Police said the investigation remains active as detectives continue working to identify additional individuals involved in the shooting.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:21 p.m. at 2425 Old Greensboro Road, where investigators say two groups exchanged gunfire across a parking lot. Baines, 50, was not the intended target and was struck while outside her apartment. Despite life-saving efforts by Emergency Medical Services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second woman was also injured during the shooting and was found inside a nearby apartment. She was transported to a local hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition, according to police.
