HORRY COUNTY, S.C. — Isaac McFadden, 44, of North Myrtle Beach, was sentenced to 13 years in prison after pleading guilty to trafficking fentanyl in a 2024 case, officials said.

McFadden admitted to first-offense trafficking of fentanyl, weighing more than four grams but less than 14 grams. Circuit Court Judge Michael Nettles imposed the non-parole-eligible sentence after McFadden pleaded guilty prior to jury selection.

The charges originated from a March 2024 traffic stop, during which McFadden attempted to discard the fentanyl by throwing it out of his car window. Horry County Police retraced his route and recovered the bag containing fentanyl.

A subsequent search revealed nearly $13,000 in cash and crack cocaine in McFadden’s possession.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant Solicitors Blaine Massey and Brandon Lanier for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
