A teenager originally arrested as a juvenile in connection with a 2024 homicide in Temple, Texas, is now being charged as an adult. Isaac Alexander Marenco, now 17, has been transferred from a juvenile detention center to the Bell County Jail. He faces a first-degree felony murder charge with bond set at $200,000.

The case stems from an incident on May 21, 2024, when Temple police officers patrolling the 4300 block of Lions Park discovered a 16-year-old male lying in the road with a fatal gunshot wound. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities quickly launched a homicide investigation. By 2 a.m. the following day, officers arrested a 15-year-old juvenile on a directive to apprehend for murder. That individual has since been identified as Isaac Marenco.

The Temple Police Department confirmed there were no additional injuries reported and no immediate threat to the public following the arrest. As Marenco is no longer a juvenile, his case has now transitioned to the adult criminal justice system.
