Isaac Lapidus Charged in $2M Nintendo Counterfeit Scheme

Lawrence man accused of selling fake Nintendo products on Amazon

by Sophia Bennett

MINEOLA, N.Y. – A Lawrence man has been indicted for allegedly selling more than $2 million worth of counterfeit Nintendo products through Amazon, Nassau County District Attorney Anne T. Donnelly announced.

Isaac Lapidus, 34, was arraigned on Wednesday before Judge Lisa Locurto on charges of First-Degree Trademark Counterfeiting (Class C felony) and Fourth-Degree Conspiracy (Class E felony). He pleaded not guilty and was released to pre-trial services. He is scheduled to appear again in court on September 18, 2025. If convicted, Lapidus faces up to 15 years in prison.

“For years, this defendant allegedly hawked hundreds of thousands of counterfeit Nintendo accessories for popular consoles and games through several Amazon seller accounts he controlled,” said DA Donnelly. “Sales totaled into the millions of dollars, and consumers unknowingly bought imitation products that can pose safety risks.”

According to investigators, five Amazon seller accounts — PandaVida Inc., Unibabe, ABC of product, this too shall pass, and Zuzu Cares 4 U (now ArminStore) — were all tied to Lapidus. Each account listed 4217 Austin Boulevard in Island Park as the shipping or removal address.

The products sold included Nintendo Switch Docking Stations, Docking Station Adapters, and Pokémon Go Plus Accessories. After a review by Nintendo, the items were determined to be counterfeit, due to discrepancies in product codes, serial numbers, packaging design, and Japanese language characters.

Between October 2018 and September 2025, the five accounts collectively sold:

200,000+ Switch Docking Stations

10,000+ Switch Dock Adapters

15,705 Pokémon Go Plus Accessories

Sales from these counterfeit goods totaled more than $2 million.

Authorities say Lapidus was linked to the operation through the warehouse mortgage, Amazon seller data, bank accounts, and phone records. He is also listed as the owner of PandaVida Inc.

On September 2, 2025, NCDA investigators executed a search warrant at the Island Park warehouse, seizing:

46 boxes of Nintendo Switch Docking Station & Power Adapter sets

23 boxes of Nintendo Cool Baby HD Video Game sets

33 boxes of Pokémon Go Plus Accessories

All items were confirmed as counterfeit by Amazon and Nintendo.

Lapidus was arrested on the same day and now faces prosecution led by ADA Justin Santabarbara of the Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau, under Bureau Chief Jeremy Glicksman.

Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit and Nintendo’s Intellectual Property Enforcement Division assisted in the investigation.
