Indrit Ismailaj Sentenced to Four Years for Drug Trafficking in Suffolk
A 23-year-old man, Indrit Ismailaj, was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of supplying cocaine and cannabis across Suffolk. Following a six-day trial at Ipswich Crown Court, the jury found Ismailaj guilty after reviewing evidence, including messages from his mobile phone that linked him to the illegal drug trade.
Ismailaj was arrested after a drug investigation traced messages discussing the supply of cocaine across various locations in Suffolk, including Ipswich, Stowmarket, and Bury St Edmunds. His involvement was also uncovered during a stop on the A14 in April, where police found a mobile phone with messages implicating him in drug trafficking.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of £6,360 in cash found during a search of a property linked to Ismailaj. He was sentenced for his role in the supply of cocaine and was also found guilty of supplying cannabis, which resulted in an additional nine months on his sentence.
In addition to his prison time, Ismailaj received a two-year and six-month driving ban. His mobile phone was also destroyed as part of the court’s order.
