In a significant arrest by the Indore Crime Branch, a young man named Mohammad Liaquat was taken into custody for possession of 14.68 grams of MD drugs on Tuesday. The arrest came after police observed suspicious activity by Liaquat, who was riding a bike near the First Battalion petrol pump in front of the Sulabh Complex. When the police attempted to stop him, Liaquat fled the scene but was quickly surrounded and apprehended.
According to Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya, the arrested individual identified himself as Mohammad Liaquat, a resident of Khajrana. Upon searching him, the police found the MD drugs in his possession.
During questioning, Liaquat revealed that he runs a shoe and slipper shop in Rajwada and admitted to being addicted to drugs. He further disclosed that he sells drugs to support his addiction.
Liaquat has been remanded into police custody, and authorities are now investigating further to determine the source of the drugs and the individuals to whom he might have been supplying.
