GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A 21-year-old Grand Forks man, Ian Kramchuck, has been arrested on multiple charges related to a series of break-ins that occurred over a span of four months. He faces 11 charges of theft, 3 charges of burglary, 2 charges of attempted burglary, 6 charges of unlawful vehicle entry, and 5 charges of criminal mischief.
Court documents reveal the first incidents began on May 11, when Kramchuck allegedly broke into a car, stealing a wallet, Adderall, and both a debit and credit card. That same day, he reportedly broke into two additional vehicles, taking $80 in cash and two handguns.
On July 30, Kramchuck allegedly broke into two more vehicles, stealing $100 in cash and $200 in gift cards. He also broke into two businesses during the same period.
On August 1, Kramchuck allegedly broke into three businesses in downtown Fargo, where he stole over $1,000 in cash, multiple credit cards, a card reader, and caused damage to two cash tills.
Two days later, on August 4, Kramchuck stole a vehicle from a residence. The vehicle was later recovered on August 5, with a suitcase inside containing items stolen in the previous break-ins.
Kramchuck was arrested on December 26 after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He is currently scheduled for a preliminary hearing on February 3, 2024.
