On August 12, 2024, the Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) police in Vijayawada arrested Raavi Sai Mastan Rao, a software engineer from Hyderabad, in connection with a major drugs smuggling case. Mastan Rao was allegedly involved in trafficking MDMA pills, a highly potent illegal substance.
The arrest follows an earlier bust by SEB police, who had apprehended four individuals at the railway station two months ago while they were allegedly transporting MDMA pills. According to SEB officers, Mastan Rao had been a prime suspect in the ongoing investigation and was considered one of the most wanted individuals linked to the drug smuggling operation.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the drug trafficking network, with Mastan Rao now facing serious charges related to the distribution and smuggling of illicit substances.
