The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, along with Chikkadapally police, busted a cricket betting racket and arrested three individuals involved in prohibited online IPL cricket betting. The police seized Rs 2,48,200 in cash and multiple mobile phones from their possession.
The arrested include Mohd Firasath Ali, a sub-bookie from SRT Colony, Rein Bazar, and punters Nitin Kumar of Moosarambagh and Vikas Agarwal of Domalguda.
According to officials, the accused obtained online cricket betting user IDs from the main bookie Pavan, based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, to facilitate betting activities during IPL-2025. They operated through websites such as Peachexch, Radheexchange.com, and Silvarbay.com.
Acting on information, the Task Force apprehended them near Sundaraiah Park and confiscated the cash and mobile phones. The accused and seized materials have been handed over to Chikkadapally police for further investigation.
