In a major drug bust on Thursday, the Task Force (West) team, along with Gachibowli police, successfully dismantled an interstate drug racket, arresting two drug peddlers and three consumers. The authorities seized a significant quantity of 14 kg of marijuana during the operation.

The arrested peddlers were identified as Ranjan Nayak from Odisha and Gobin Bonia from Assam, while the three drug consumers, all from Hyderabad, were Kushal Singh, Dablu Thakur, and Aditya Singh Chauhan.

According to the police, the drug peddlers procured marijuana at low rates from dealers in other states, smuggling it to Hyderabad, where they sold it at much higher prices to local consumers. The operation has been hailed as a significant success in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking in the city.
