The Hyderabad police successfully uncovered a child trafficking ring, arresting five individuals involved in the illegal operation. On April 20, the Chandrayangutta police rescued a five-year-old girl who had been abducted near the Gandhi statue, located close to Bhramaramba Wines in Chandrayangutta.

The kidnapped girl, named Mariyam Saadi, was taken from the public area, prompting an urgent investigation. The police, led by DCP South East Zone Patil Kantilal Subhash, quickly responded to the complaint and initiated a search for the suspects. After reviewing several CCTV footage recordings, the authorities identified the location of the suspects’ residence.

The arrested individuals include a couple, Syed Javeed Pasha (51) and Shaista Parveen (40), both from Saleem Nagar Colony in Malakpet. Along with them, Parveen Banu (40), Jawagi Sunitha Kumari (50), and Kappala Rajendra Prasad (39) were also detained.

According to police reports, Javeed and Shaista admitted during questioning that they had kidnapped the girl and sold her for Rs 1.30 lakh to Parveen. Following this confession, a police team was dispatched to Parveen’s location, where they found her attempting to sell the child to Sunitha and Rajendra. The officers immediately apprehended the suspects and successfully rescued the little girl.

This timely action by the Hyderabad police highlights their commitment to fighting human trafficking and protecting vulnerable children.
