Hyderabad Police Arrest Three in Ganja Seizure, 41 Kg Recovered

Inter-State Drug Supplier and Peddlers Arrested in Joint Operation

Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), in a joint operation with Madhuranagar police, arrested three individuals involved in drug trafficking and seized 41 kilograms of ganja on Wednesday.

The accused were identified as Bala Hanthal, a native of Koraput, Odisha and the main supplier, and Burra Srinivasulu alias Vasu and Gonugunta Abhisekh, both residents of Kukatpally and drug peddlers. The trio was arrested red-handed while exchanging a bag containing 41 kg of ganja near Nalanda College in Vengalraonagar.

In addition to the ganja, the police recovered Rs 40,000 in cash, a packing machine, and a bike used in the offense. SHO Madhuranagar, B Srinivas Varma stated that a further investigation is underway into the matter, with a focus on uncovering more details of the illegal drug trade network.
