Hyderabad Police Arrest Mohd Amer with 7.5 kg Ganja in Kanchanbagh

Cab driver caught selling ganja worth Rs 1.86 lakh in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South West Zone, along with Kanchanbagh police, arrested Mohd Amer (27), a cab driver from Errakunta, for possession of 7.5 kg of ganja valued at Rs 1.86 lakh in Kanchanbagh on Tuesday.

Police stated that Amer procured ganja from unknown suppliers in the Mangalhat area and from Mohd Ismail Shabba of Hafeez Baba Nagar. He reportedly purchased the drug at Rs 2,000 per 100 grams and sold it at rates ranging from Rs 3,500 to Rs 4,000.

A case has been registered under Section 8(c) read with Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act. The Hyderabad City Police appealed to youth and students to stay away from drugs and urged parents to monitor their children closely. The police also encouraged the public to provide information freely to help maintain a drug-free city.
