The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) arrested five individuals on Saturday for allegedly selling ganja and hashish oil, seizing a total of 5 kg of ganja and 5 kg of hashish oil, valued at approximately Rs70 lakh.
Police revealed that the accused communicated with customers via a messaging app, using coded phrases such as “green available” to indicate availability and timing of deliveries.
The arrested include:
Paul Khila (Odisha)
Krushna Jalla (Odisha)
Vykunta Rao (Madhapur resident)
Balaji (delivery boy)
Chaitanya (delivery boy)
Authorities also noted that in June 2025, Rao’s associates were apprehended by Kothavalasa police while transporting ganja from Odisha, highlighting the interstate nature of the drug network.
Police continue to investigate the full extent of the gang’s operations and other potential links to narcotics trafficking in the region.
