The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone, in coordination with Moghalpura and Chaderghat police, apprehended four individuals involved in the illegal procurement and sale of Mephentermine Sulphate injections, Alprazolam tablets, and ganja.
Syed Asad (28), Ahmed Qureshi (30), and a Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) were arrested near Hari Bowli Roads after police seized 102 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate injections worth Rs 1.20 lakh. Asad allegedly procured the injections via India Mart, New Delhi, selling them illegally through his associates.
In a separate case, Mohd Imran alias Kala Imran, a notorious rowdy sheeter with 15 criminal cases, was arrested by Chaderghat Police with 110 vials of Mephentermine Sulphate, 60 Alprazolam tablets, and 3 kg of ganja, valued at Rs 2 lakh. Imran, who was previously detained under the PD Act in 2015, reportedly abused these substances and sold them around Old Malakpet.
Police warned that Mephentermine Sulphate, a Schedule H drug, can cause serious side effects like cardiac arrest and should only be used under medical supervision. Alprazolam tablets also carry risks including confusion and impaired coordination.
