The Hyderabad Police have arrested three men from Uttar Pradesh in connection with a major theft across multiple city areas, recovering gold, silver, cash, and a two-wheeler.
The accused — Tanzim Zakir Ali (30), Mohd Saddam (32), and Shanawaz Khan (29) — targeted homes in Banjara Hills, SR Nagar, Dabeerpura, and Tukaramgate, using iron rods and screwdrivers to break in.
Loot Recovered
The gang, which came to Hyderabad in early February 2026, stole:
160.84 grams of gold
666 grams of silver
Rs 3.28 lakh in cash
1 Splendor two-wheeler
The total loot was valued at over Rs28.6 lakh. Some stolen items were reportedly sent to a relative in UP for sale.
Police Operation
Following a tip-off on February 18, police recovered the items from the accused’s residence in Talabkatta. Cases were registered under multiple police stations.
The operation was led by Addl DCP M Iqbal Siddiqui and supervised by Inspector R Venkatesh, DI Sk Kavi Uddin, and SI K Venkataramana, with support from the Golconda Zone Task Force and Banjara Hills police.
Authorities continue investigation to trace any further accomplices and recover additional stolen property.
