Hunter Clayton Jordan, Edmond Judkins Arrested in Sting

Online solicitation of minors leads to Cooke County arrests

by Sophia Bennett

COOKE COUNTY, Texas — A multi-agency sting operation led to the arrest of two individuals in Cooke County on charges of online solicitation of a minor. The suspects believed they were communicating with underage children but were, in fact, interacting with undercover law enforcement.

The operation, held on July 15 and 16, was coordinated by the Cooke County Sheriff’s Department with support from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Collin County Sheriff’s Office, and The Colony Police Department. Officers directed the suspects to a predetermined location in Gainesville, where they were taken into custody.

Among those arrested was 26-year-old Hunter Clayton Jordan, who was employed by Gainesville Independent School District at the time. Authorities say Jordan arrived at the sting site driving a district-owned vehicle. Gainesville ISD has since confirmed his termination in a statement to parents, noting he had worked for the district for three years.

The second suspect, 57-year-old Edmond Blake Judkins, was also arrested during the operation. Both Jordan and Judkins face second-degree felony charges for online solicitation of a minor, and their bonds were set at $150,000 each.

The investigation remains ongoing as law enforcement continues efforts to crack down on online crimes involving minors.
