FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The interim boys soccer coach at Hoover High School in Fresno has been arrested on serious charges related to child exploitation.
Authorities confirmed that 38-year-old Miguel Lara, a Fresno resident, was taken into custody on Thursday for possession of child sex abuse material.
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest followed a tip that led investigators to Lara’s residence at an apartment complex on North Backer Avenue in northeast Fresno. During the arrest, detectives seized Lara’s electronic devices as evidence.
Fresno Unified School District has been informed of the arrest. Action News has reached out to the district for comment, though no response has been received yet.
Detectives are urging anyone who may have additional information or who may have been victimized to contact the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
