HOLTS SUMMIT, MO — Jeffrey Wilcox, a 28-year-old man from Holts Summit, has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault and firearm investigation. Wilcox is facing first-degree sodomy, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon charges, according to court records.
The arrest follows a detailed investigation conducted by the Holts Summit Police Department, who worked closely with the Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office to bring Wilcox into custody.
The incident reportedly occurred in July 2023, when a victim came forward to Holts Summit police, claiming that she had been sexually assaulted by Wilcox at his residence. During the alleged assault, Wilcox reportedly pointed a gun at the victim, according to court documents.
The arrest was made after DNA analysis conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Crime Laboratory provided crucial evidence linking Wilcox to the crime.
Wilcox is currently being held without bond at the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office as the investigation continues.
