A woman from Beloit is facing felony charges after authorities say she operated a prostitution ring using an escort website.
Holly Lynn Converse, 32, has been charged with two counts of human trafficking and one count of solicitation of prostitutes, according to a criminal complaint filed in Rock County Circuit Court.
Investigators allege that Converse and another woman recruited individuals struggling with drug addiction and arranged meetings for adult services through a female escort website. The encounters reportedly took place at homes and hotels in Beloit and nearby South Beloit.
Authorities claim the women involved were paid with drugs, while Converse allegedly collected the cash payments from clients.
According to the complaint, the activity involved three women between 2024 and 2026.
If convicted, Converse could face up to 20 years in prison for each human trafficking charge.
Court records indicate that Converse failed to appear at a scheduled hearing on Tuesday, and an initial court appearance was later set for March 10 at 3 p.m..
