Ahmedabad police have arrested 37-year-old Hiral Benanuj Patel in connection with a cyber fraud case involving the theft of private information and financial scams worth several lakhs of rupees.
Hiral Patel, reportedly an aide of Joel V. Jose, the prime accused in the case, was traced to her hideout in Ahmedabad. Authorities confirmed her involvement in assisting the main accused in executing fraudulent transactions and stealing confidential data.
Police are continuing the investigation to uncover the full network behind the cybercrime and to determine whether there are additional accomplices linked to the scam.
